A lendária banda de heavy metal promete uma apresentação “muito especial e peculiar”

Lady Gaga se juntará ao Metallica para um dueto durante a cerimônia do Grammy neste domingo, 12. A informação foi divulgada em um tuíte de um site de fãs da cantora pop. Nele, havia um trecho do clipe promocional do evento, declarando “Lady Gaga faz dueto com Metallica”. A Rolling Stone EUA confirmou a colaboração.

Esta tem sido uma semana e tanto para Gaga. Depois daelogiada apresentação no Super Bowl e de anunciar ser uma das atrações do Rock in Rio 2017, a cantora ainda poderá entrar em breve para o Top 5 das paradas norte-americanas com o disco Joanne.
Esta não será a primeira vez que ela se apresentará na cerimônia. No ano passado, Gaga homenageou David Bowie durante a performance dela no evento. Todavia, o Metallica não se apresenta no Grammy desde 2014, quando eles executaram sobre ao vivo a canção “One” ao lado do pianista Lang Lang.
A faixa “Hardwired”, do mais recente disco do grupo, Hardwired… to Self-Destruct, concorre na categoria Melhor Música de Rock. A banda compete com canções de gente como David Bowie, Radiohead, Twenty One Pilots e Highly Suspect.
Além da inusitada parceria, a próxima edição do Grammy terá uma lista de apresentações recheada de grandes nomes. Entre eles estão Adele, Chance the Rapper, Sturgill Simpson, Daft Punk com The Weeknd, Gary Clark Jr., John Legend, Alicia Keys com Maren Morris, Carrie Underwood e Keith Urban. Há também a performance do A Tribe Called Quest com Anderson .Paak.
A 59ª edição do Grammy, apresentada por James Corden, acontece no dia 12 de fevereiro no Staples Center, em Los Angeles, Estados Unidos. Beyoncé lidera as indicações ao próximo Grammy, com um total de nove citações, com Drake, Rihanna e Kanye West concorrendo, cada um deles, em oito categorias.
Na cerimônia de 2017, o Brasil é representado por Caetano Veloso e Gilberto Gil. Os baianos tropicalistas tiveram o recente disco ao vivo Dois Amigos, Um Século de Música, que registra a turnê acústica homônima, indicado na categoria de Melhor Álbum de World Music.
